Admission to the bachelor’s degree completion program in Health
Science is based upon evaluation of each candidate’s academic
record.
All applicants are required to meet the following
requirements:
- A grade point average of 2.0 or better
- Completion of at least *60 transferable semester or 90
quarter units (70 semester units preferred)
- Completion of all four CSU-approved General Education
requirements with a grade of C or better:
- Oral Communication (A1)
- Written Communication (A2)
- Critical Thinking (A3)
- Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning (B4)
- Completion of the following pre-requisite
courses:
- Chemistry
- Anatomy
- Physiology
- Note: a combination class of Anatomy/Physiology of at
least five units will satisfy the above two
course requirements.
- Statistics
- Human Development over the Life span or
Introduction to Psychology
- Introduction to Sociology
- Health Science 1000 (Please review the Health
Science 1000 Equivalency Grid. If your institution is
not listed on the table, please contact the Program Director,
Mechelle Perea Ryann , at mperearyan@csustan.edu for
course equivalency.
If pursuing the Health Informatics and Data Analytics
concentration (HIDA), applicants are required to have completed
the additional pre-requisite:
*Students applying to the program with fewer
than 66 lower-division transferable units for HLA or
fewer than 68 lower-division transferable units for HIDA will
have to take additional courses outside of this
program.
