Who We Are
Stanislaus State’s Continuing and Professional Education (CaPE)
department provides a diverse range of professional development
courses and programs designed to meet the evolving needs of our
local and regional communities. With your support, we will expand
our course and certificate offerings in a variety of fields like
Business, Health, Law, Wellness, Finance, Education, and more.
The courses will be delivered in flexible formats, including
online, virtual, hybrid, and in-person.
What Our Instructors Do
The responsibilities of instructors include developing course
content and student assessments, monitoring course evaluations,
and improving the course curriculum as needed. Instructors are
also expected to complete required administrative tasks before
and after class to comply with CaPE and campus policies. Most
importantly, our instructors are responsible for creating a safe
and student-centered learning environment that is flexible and
promotes equity and inclusivity.

If you join CaPE’s community of part-time instructors, you’ll
work closely with our experienced team of program managers,
