This information pertains to students admitted to a degree
program through Continuing and Professional Education.  For
information on drops and refunds for other programs, please visit
  the Information
  and Policies page.
  Drop Policy
To drop a course in the program, a completed drop form must
be submitted to the Continuing and Professional Education office.
Courses must be dropped by the University census date (the 20th
day of the regular academic semester). Drops are not permitted
  after the census date.
  Withdrawal Policy
To withdraw from a course after the census date, please fill out
a withdrawal form and obtain the appropriate signatures and
return to the Continuing and Professional Education office.
Withdrawing from a course after census date places a “W” on your
transcript. There are no refunds for course withdrawals.
To withdraw from a degree program, a program withdrawal form must be
filled out and have appropriate signatures.
  Refund Policy
The last day to receive a partial refund is the census date. No
refunds are allowed after the census date. To obtain a refund, a
  completed refund
form should be submitted along with a drop form and
should be submitted to the Continuing and Professional Education
office. Refunds are pro-rated based upon the date the course is
  dropped.
How to Estimate a Pro-Rated Refund:
  - Count the number of days from the first date of the academic
semester to the actual drop date

  - Divide by the number of class days in the semester (74) and
multiply it by your semester tuition to get your pro-rated fee

  - Subtract the pro-rated fee from your semester tuition. This
  will be your approximate refund.

  Dropped for Non-Payment
Students may be dropped for non-payment of fees.  Failure to
make payment within 30 days from payment due date may result in
being dropped from classes and Blackboard.
Final payment is required for re-registration.  Please note
that it takes a minimum of two business days to be re-registered
  in classes.
  R2T4 Policy
Students who withdraw or cease to be enrolled prior to the end of
a payment period and have received Federal or State aid must have
a Return of Title IV Funds calculation performed or a pro-rata
adjustment to their aid.  This calculation is performed by
  the Financial Aid Office.
Up through the 60% point in each payment period, a prorated
schedule is used to determine the amount of Title IV funds the
student has earned at the time of withdrawal.  After the 60%
point in the payment period, a student has earned 100% of the
Title IV funds he or she was scheduled to receive.  A
student that withdraws from all units before the first day of
school is not subject to R2T4 and all financial aid will be
  canceled.
Questions may be directed to the Continuing and Professional
  Education office at (209) 667-3111.
