Program Overview
The Online RN-BSN program provides students who are already Registered Nurses (RNs) the opportunity for educational and professional advancement. This program is designed to meet the needs of working registered nurses and allows them to explore new perspectives by learning with other nurses. Students are able to apply real-world solutions in their current positions immediately.
BSN graduates are also eligible to apply for a California Public Health Nursing Certificate that permits them to work in community health settings. The current curriculum consists of Population Health Nursing (3) units and Population Health Nursing Practicum (2) units. Nursing courses are offered online, except for one 90-hour practicum course in population health nursing. Placements for this course will be conducted face-to-face at a pre-approved public health facility/experience.
