Intern Teaching Seminar

Overview

The Intern Teaching Seminar is a class specifically designed to meet the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) requirements for support for teaching interns in multiple subject and education specialist assignments.

The Internship Teaching Seminar is offered by the College of Education in conjunction with Continuing and Professional Education. This is 3-unit course that is for extension credit only and does not carry any institutional academic credit.

Course Description

Topics to be addressed include classroom management, lesson planning and delivery, student assessment, instructional planning for EL and special needs students, school policies and procedures, effective parent-school communication, stress management, and others to be determined by the students and course instructor.

Fully online – synchronous classes will meet on the dates indicated; asynchronous online class sessions will be at no determined day and time; synchronous course dates are:

Drops & Refunds

The last date to drop is the University census date. In order to receive a 100% refund, you must drop before the class starts. After the class begins and up until the census date, you will be eligible for a 65% refund. After the census date, there are no drops or refunds.
