EDUC 6790 - Asset Based Lesson Planning: Preparing for the CalTPA- Cycle 1 (3 extension units)

This course supports teacher candidates in successfully completing the Multiple Subject CalTPA Math Cycle, and the Single Subject CalTPA Cycle 2: Learning About Students and Planning a Lesson. Candidates learn to design, teach, and assess standards-based lessons that are grounded in students’ cultural and linguistic assets, while making purposeful adaptations that build upon each student’s unique strengths and learning needs.

EDUC 6791 - Planning for assessments – Preparing for the CalTPA – Cycle 2 (3 extension units)

This course supports teacher candidates in successfully completing the Multiple Subject CalTPA Literacy Cycle, and the Single Subject SSCP Cycle 2: Assessment-Driven Instruction. Candidates learn to design, teach, and assess standards-based lessons that promote English Language Development (ELD) across content areas, analyze student learning, and use assessment data to plan targeted instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
