Stan State also received recognition from RegisteredNursing.org, which ranked the School of Nursing No. 8 in California. The organization lauded the program citing that it is “tailored to the fast-paced career track that many nurses require. Numerous pathways, including a pre-licensure BSN program, an LVN to BSN, and more, help students meet their nursing career goals.”
“We are honored to be recognized for our successes,” said School of Nursing Director and Professor Marla Seacrist. “Our nursing program is providing the educational foundation for a variety of healthcare providers, including both undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing and in health science.”
The school attributes the RN to BSN ranking to its advanced clinical practicum and simulation program, citing these programs as instrumental in offering students the necessary environments to acquire and apply practical knowledge relevant to their profession.
“Our NCLEX pass rates are among the highest in the state, ranging from 94 percent to 100 percent in the past five years,” Seacrist said. “The RN to BSN program includes clinical rotations, allowing our students to be eligible for the public health certificate. Additionally, our family nurse practitioner program graduates mid-level practitioners, who play a much-needed role in providing primary care to our entire community.”
The University’s RN to BSN program is tailored for working registered nurses seeking educational and professional advancement. The 12-month program recognizes students’ unique needs and gives them the opportunity to explore new perspectives and implement real-world solutions in their current professional roles.
