Stan State MBA Program Honored by U.S. News & World Report

Stanislaus State’s master’s program in business administration has been honored with a national ranking by U.S. News & World Report for the first time in a report released today.

Stan State debuts in the rankings at No. 206 and is one of seven members of the California State University system to be honored.

“We compare favorably with our peers in the California State University system and private academic institutions nationally,” said Tomas Gomez-Arias, dean of the College of Business Administration. “Our reputation is the result of the hard work of our faculty and staff, and the success of our students and alumni.”

U.S. News & World Report annually ranks professional school programs in business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing, including specialties in each area. The publication’s rankings are based on a combination of expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of faculty, research and students. In all, statistical surveys were completed for more than 2,000 programs, and reputation surveys were sent to more than 22,018 academics and professionals.

The publication has included Stanislaus State on its annual honor rolls for more than two decades, and in January it ranked the University’s online MBA program at No. 119 in the nation, an improvement of 45 spots from last year’s list.

“The presence of our programs in national rankings is evidence of the increasing recognition the College of Business Administration is gaining among the academic and professional community for the quality of our MBA programs,” said Gomez-Arias.
